Ghost Stories: Anurag Kashyap On Giving A Kiss To Actors, ‘You Give Me Good Shot, You Get A Pappi’

Ghost Stories is an upcoming 2020 Indian anthology horror drama film which is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibaker Banerjee. Ghost Stories stars Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Gully Boy fame Vijay Varma, Abinash Tiwary, Raghubir Yadav, Shobita Dhulipata and Pavail Gulati. This horror flick is all set to release on 1st January. Gearing up for the release as 2019 comes to an end and we are all set to ring in the New Year 2020, the makers are excited about Ghost Stories. The entire film will have 4 short films portraying a specific story.
SpotboyE.com recently had a chitchat session with the man himself- Anurag Kashyap in “Just Binge Sessions with Anurag Kashyap”. When he was asked if he has ever had Ghost sessions, he said, “I’ve had those sessions with my maternal grandmother. She would tell us stories when we were very small kids. And will be afraid what will creep out of the bathroom, rooms or other places of the house. When we asked him that his brain functions very differently on the day of the shoot, and he tends to change things. Clearing the air he said, “I am most spontaneous in organic. “I have a visual memory. Even if I am making a film on somebody else’s script I will take it and rewrite it myself. My process of rewriting to turn it into a shooting draft is where I start seeing the entire film.”
Host Manish Batavia managed to get a positive nod from Anurag Kashyap when we asked that once Vicky Kaushal revealed that, “Anurag kisses on set,” to which Gangs of Wasseypur director replied, “You give me good shot, you get a puppi, u get a hug or u probably also get a dance.” Watch the complete exclusive interview above
